BOARD OF PUBLIC SAFETY
December 9, 2015
A SPECIAL AND TELEPHONIC MEETING of the Board of Public Safety was held in the Mayor’s Office on Wednesday, December 9, 2015.
Those in attendance included Mayor Elinor Carbone, Commissioners Richard Zaharek and Robert Conforti and along with Police Chief Michael Maniago and Deputy Police Chief Christopher Smedick. Commissioners Darlene Battle, Glenn McLeod and Douglas Benedetto participated by telephone. Commissioner Angelo LaMonica was absent.
Mayor Carbone called the meeting to order at 10:05 a.m.
EXECUTIVE SESSION: Police Dept. Personnel
On a motion by Commissioner Conforti, seconded by Commissioner McLeod, the Board voted unanimously to enter executive session under Police Dept. personnel at 10:06 a.m., inviting Police Chief Michael Maniago and Deputy Police Chief Christopher Smedick.
OPEN SESSION
On a motion by Commissioner Conforti, seconded by Commissioner McLeod, the Board voted unanimously to enter open session at 10:14 a.m.
PROMOTION: Sergeant
On a motion by Commissioner Zaharek, seconded by Commissioner Conforti, the Board voted unanimously to promote Officer William Bernabucci to the position of Sergeant, with an effective date at the discretion of the Chief.
ADJOURNMENT On a motion by Commissioner Benedetto, seconded by Commissioner McLeod, the Board voted unanimously to adjourn at 10:15 a.m.
